What does your number mean?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a simple index of weight-for-height that is commonly used to classify underweight, overweight and obesity in adults.

BMI values are age-independent and the same for both sexes.
The health risks associated with increasing BMI are continuous and the interpretation of BMI gradings in relation to risk may differ for different populations.

As of today if your BMI is at least 35 to 39.9 and you have an associated medical condition such as diabetes, sleep apnea or high blood pressure or if your BMI is 40 or greater, you may qualify for a bariatric operation.

If you have any questions, contact Dr. Claros.

< 18.5 Underweight
18.5 – 24.9 Normal Weight
25 – 29.9 Overweight
30 – 34.9 Class I Obesity
35 – 39.9 Class II Obesity
≥ 40 Class III Obesity (Morbid)

Its formula can be also written as CH3−CH2−OH or C2H5OH (an ethyl group linked to a hydroxyl group), and is often abbreviated as EtOH. The chemical composition of ethanol can be represented either as a 1) molecular formula or as a 2) structural formula. The local molecular geometry and the hybridization around each carbon atom in benzene (CoHo with a hexagonal ring structure) is a. square planar and sp. Ethanol Molecular Geometry. 1 decade ago. Molecular Dipole Moments. mol−1. It is calculated as below Mol mass of Ethanol = 2 * 12 (Mol mass of C) + 6 * 1 (Mol mass of H) + 1 … The ethanol ( N -GO-ZnO-E) and water ( N -GO-ZnO-W) are selected here due to the availability of different number of interacting atoms and molecular geometries. Please let me know once you figure out what the right answer is.. 1 0. It's tetrahedral, look at it from one carbon's perspective. What is … I think it is a tetrahedral, but i am not 100% sure. With 8 electrons (4 pairs) surrounding the C and O of ethanol, the geometry of the electrons clouds around the C and O are tetrahedral, with bond angles of approximately 109 o. Source(s): https://shrinke.im/a0vM6. 0 1. Ethanol, C 2 H 6 O (CH 3 CH 2 OH); Lewis structure using dots to represent bonding electrons: Lewis structure using lines to represent pairs of bonding electrons: Label the carbon bonded to only hydrogen and nother carbon atom as carbon A, and the other carbon atom as carbon B. Herein, with ethanol and water solvents we demonstrate for the first time the influence of solvent molecular geometry on the aspect ratio of nanostructures such as ZnO nanorods. It is a simple alcohol with the chemical formula C2H6O. Acetaldehyde (systematic name ethanal) is an organic chemical compound with the formula CH 3 CHO, sometimes abbreviated by chemists as MeCHO (Me = methyl). It is one of the most important aldehydes, occurring widely in nature and being produced on a large scale in industry.Acetaldehyde occurs naturally in coffee, bread, and ripe fruit, and is produced by plants. The oxygen has two unshared electron pairs which make that end of the molecule highly negative. Ethanol is a volatile, flammable, colorless liquid with a slight … The 2D chemical structure image of ethanol is also called skeletal formula, which is the standard notation for organic molecules. However, the structural formula of ethanol, C2H5OH, provides a little more detail, and indicates that there is an hydroxyl group (-OH) at the end of the 2-carbon chain (Figure 1.1). Ethanol or Ethyl Alcohol is a colorless liquid at standard conditions of temperature and pressure. VSEPR Geometry and Molecular Geometry of C2H6O. e. T-shaped and sp. The carbon atoms in the chemical structure of ethanol are implied to be located at the corner (s) and hydrogen atoms attached to carbon atoms are not indicated – each carbon atom is considered to be associated with enough hydrogen atoms to provide the carbon atom with four bonds. The molecular shape of SCl2 is? 0 0. Alcohols also have much higher boiling points than alkanes of the same molecular weight: for example, propane (molecular mass 42.08 g/mol) has a boiling point of -44.5°C, while ethanol (MM 46.07 g/mol) has a boiling point of 78.3°C. In this arrangement, the electrons clouds, which repel each other, are as far apart as possible. Sangrag. 1 decade ago. 2005-03-27. Contents. Adam.
